Regular events to connect with locals and fellow students beyond the classroom — learn living language and culture by actually using Japanese.
新入生歓迎会。地域ボランティアや先輩留学生と顔合わせをします。A welcome gathering to meet local volunteers and senior students.
沖縄の伝統芸能と食文化を、地元の方と一緒に体験します。Experience Okinawa's traditional performing arts and food culture together with locals.
地域ボランティアとビーチ清掃をしながら、自然な会話を楽しみます。Enjoy natural conversation while cleaning the beach with local volunteers.
エイサー祭りなど、地域の伝統行事に参加して沖縄文化を体感します。Take part in local traditions such as Eisa festivals to experience Okinawan culture firsthand.
地元大学生と日本語・母語を教え合うタンデム形式の交流会です。A tandem meetup where you and local university students teach each other Japanese and your native language.
3ヶ月の集大成として、学んだ日本語を使い沖縄を巡るツアーを実施します。A capstone tour exploring Okinawa using all the Japanese you've learned over three months.

沖縄日本語学校では、留学生が日々の生活を通して「生きた日本語」と沖縄の暮らしを学べるよう、ご家庭に受け入れていただくホストファミリーを募集しています。留学生の「第二の家族」として、かけがえのない出会いをつくってみませんか。
We're looking for host families to welcome students into daily life in Okinawa. Become their "second family" and share an unforgettable experience.
留学生は一般家庭に滞在しながら学校に通い、日々の生活の中でご家族や地域の方々と交流します。語学だけでなく、沖縄の暮らしや文化への理解を深めることを目的としたプログラムです。Students live with a local family while attending school, interacting with the family and community through everyday life. Beyond language, the program aims to deepen their understanding of Okinawan life and culture.
留学生に日本語や文化を伝える経験は、ホストファミリーの皆さんにとっても異文化を体験する機会になります。留学生を「お客さん」ではなく「家族の一員」として迎え入れ、新しい発見や出会いを楽しんでください。Sharing Japanese language and culture with a student is also a chance for the host family to experience a different culture. Welcome them not as a guest but as a member of the family, and enjoy new discoveries and connections.
